Maldives with it’s spectacular underwater provides one of the best diving in the world. Maldives has been voted as the best diving in the world in numerous magazines world wide.

Most Maldivian resorts have diving just a few meters away on its house reef. A colourful range of corals greet you as you descend downwards, the delightful variety of friendly fishes that swim along with you or the most unimaginable range of sea creatures that you never even believed to exist, await you.

All resorts in the Maldives have Dive Centres, which meet stringent government regulation and are manned by PADI qualified dive instructors.

There are number of interesting dive points such as Fotteyo Kandu in Vaavu atoll, mantas and whale shark sightings in Baa Atoll, Maya thila and Hammer head point in Alifu Atoll, a large variety of Mantas, turtles and sharks are also sighted in Addu Atoll.

A number of wrecks also provide interesting dives; the “Maldives Victory in Male Atoll close by the International Airport, the “Liffey” wrecked in late 1800s in Dhaalu Atoll and the “British Royalty” which was sunk during the second world war in Addu Atoll to name a few.
